Miguel Alcantud

Miguel Alcantud is the creator and artistic director of Microteatro, a theatrical format with venues in fourteen cities in the United States, Spain, and Mexico, among others. He has directed four feature films: Impulses (sold to more than 50 countries), “Anastezsi” (European co-production with actors Derek Jacobi and Angela Molina), “Vice versa,” and “Black Diamonds” (winner of the 2013 Málaga Spanish Film Festival’s Audience Award). He has directed many episodes of primetime television series, including “Águila Roja,” “El Internado,” and “The end of the road” (forthcoming). He has directed more than twenty theatrical productions, and was a runner-up for the prestigious Valle Inclán Theater Prize in 2013. In 2015, he received the Cartagena International Cinema Festival’s FICC/GNF Prize in recognition of his career. He is an active collaborator in the NGOs Voces and Paz sin Fronteras.
