Melanie Taylor Herrera is a Panamanian author of poetry and prose and a professional musician. She holds a technical diploma in violin performance, a bachelor’s degree in psychology, and a master’s degree in music therapy. Taylor Herrera’s works include Tiempos Acuáticos, Amables Predicciones, Microcosmos, Atrapasueño, and Camino a Mariato, which was awarded the 2009 Central American Rafaela Contreras prize. Her writing has received international recognition and has been translated into English, French, German, and Polish.
