Maung Maung Myint

Maung Maung Myint is a Burmese freelance journalist who was one of the founding members of Democratic Voice of Burma. He also worked for Radio Free Asia, Burmese Service, for sixteen years as its correspondent and editorial consultant. He led Burma Media Association from 2001 to 2011 as its president. Besides his journalistic activities, Maung has translated several books into Burmese, including Burma’s Revolution of the Spirit by Alan Clements and Leslie Kean, and Practical Guide for Journalists, jointly published by 
UNESCO and Reporters without Borders (RSF). He has also translated into English some Burmese poems, short stories, and a novel, Night Birds, by Khet Mar.
