Marina Gudelj (Split, 1988) graduated with a degree in Croatian language and literature from the University of Zadar. Her short stories have been published on numerous portals and literary magazines, among them Zarez, Kritična masa, Strane, Alternator, and Astronaut.
Her short story “Lee” won the Kritična masa Award for young prose fiction authors. Her story “Vještica” (The witch) won the Prvi Prozak Na vrh jezika literary contest for young authors. In 2020, her collection of short stories Fantomska bol (Phantom pain) was published as a result of the Prozak Award and longlisted for the Fric Award. Her first novel, Nedovršena (Unfinished), published in 2021, was longlisted for the T-portal Literary Award. In 2022, Gudelj was the writer in residence in the Ulysses Shalter program. She teaches Croatian and lives and writes in Split.
