Mahmud Rahman is a writer and translator living in the San Francisco Bay Area. His first book Killing the Water, a collection of short stories, was published in 2010 by Penguin Books India. His second book Black Ice, a translation of Bangladeshi writer Mahmudul Haque’s Kalo Borof, was published in 2012 by HarperCollins India.
