Kholoud Saleh is a PhD candidate at the University of California, Los Angeles. She studies physiology and is investigating cell-based therapy for a muscle-wasting disease. Kholoud was born to Palestinian immigrant parents and raised in Qatar. Although she is a science major, her love for Qatar inspired her to work toward the preservation of its culture.
