Karolina Domagalska (Gdańsk, 1980) is a reporter by profession and mother by passion. She graduated in ethnology from Warsaw University and pursued gender studies at the Central European University. This was where she began her research on the influence of reproductive medicine upon traditionally understood concepts of family and kinship. She was shortlisted for the Ryszard Kapuściński Award for literary reportage, and awarded the Ryszard Kapuściński Award for Students, as well as the readers’ award for the best finalist of the Ryszard Kapuściński Award ranking organized by the Gazeta Wyborcza daily.
