Justyna Bednarek

Justyna Bednarek (1970) is a Romance-language specialist, journalist, and editor. After working as an editor of women’s magazines for many years, she made her debut as a children’s writer in 2004. Her most popular work is the novel The Incredible Adventures of Ten Socks, which was published in 2015 by Poradnia K Publishing House and illustrated by Daniel de Latour. It received the 2015 Book of the Year Literary Nomination from the Polish Section of IBBY, the “Przecinek i Kropka” award for the best book for children, and the Warsaw Literary Prize, and was shortlisted for the Strega Ragazze e Ragazzi Award 2020. Bednarek also writes for the Nasza Księgarnia, Egmont, and Bajka publishing houses.
