Juliet Kushaba

Juliet Kushaba was born in Bushenyi District in western Uganda. She holds a BA in education from Makerere University, Uganda, and is pursuing an MA in women’s and gender studies there. She has unparalleled passion for women’s rights and gender issues, and has done a lot of research in this regard.  Her MA research is on sexuality. Juliet worked as a freelance teacher of English language and literature in various schools in Uganda and Rwanda before she joined Femrite in 2011 as programmes officer. She is a published writer of short stories and poems. She lives in Kampala with her five-year-old daughter.
