Josep Miquel Sobrer

Josep Miquel Sobrer, a native of Barcelona, has translated a number of English titles into Catalan, including H. G. Wells's Island of Dr. Moreau, Sylvia Plath's Bell Jar, and poetry by John Donne and others, and has translated from Catalan into English Mercè Rodoreda's Broken Mirror and works by Pere Calders and others. He is the editor and translator of the anthology Catalonia: A Self-Portrait (Indiana UP, 1992), and the author, among other works, of the book of essays Desfer les Amèriques (Barcelona: Galerada, 2006). He ponders what to wear on a regular basis in Bloomington, Indiana.
