Born in Asunción in 1972, José Pérez Reyes is a writer, lawyer, and university professor. He was chosen by the Hay Festival and the Bogota39 jury as one of the thirty-nine most outstanding Latin American writers under the age of thirty-nine. He is the author of two books, Ladrillos del Tiempo (The Bricks of Time) and Clonsonante (Clonsonant).
