Jintu Gitarth was born in 1998 and grew up in a remote village of lower Assam. After moving to Guwahati to pursue higher education, he has explored the alienation and psychological issues of city dwellers. His stories represent the marginalized and oft-ignored, including victims of moral policing, sexual exploitation, and body politics. His short stories have been translated into English, Hindi, and Bodo. He is serving as a guest faculty member (assistant professor) in the Department of Education at Handique Girls’ College.
