Jesse Irwin, an MFA candidate in the Creative Writing and Translation Program at the University of Arkansas, translates from Russian. As a teenager, he grew up in post-Soviet Ukraine and Russia and studied piano at the Academic Music College of the Tchaikovsky Moscow State Conservatory before moving to Arkansas.
