János Háy

János Háy (b. 1960) is a popular short-story writer, poet, essayist, and playwright. He has published fourteen volumes of prose, poetry, and plays at last count. Occasional actor and artist, he is the illustrator of his own books. He is also one of the founders of Palatinus Books, Budapest. The short piece “Lou’s Last Letter to Feri’s Wife” is taken from the short story anthology Házasságon innen és túl (Marriage Seen Inside and Out, Magvető, 2007).
