Jabbour Douaihy

Jabbour Douaihy was born in 1949 in Zgharta, in northern Lebanon. He is a professor of French literature at the Lebanese University of Tripoli. His Matar Hzayran (June Rain) was a finalist for the 2008 International Prize for Arabic Fiction, and his Litical al-kharif was translated into English as Autumn Equinox. His other books include Ayn Warda (Rose fountain), Charid al-manazel (Chased away), Hayy Al Amerkan (American neighborhood), and Toubi’a fi bayrut (Printed in Beirut). His books have been translated into French, Italian, German, and English. He has translated several works into Arabic.
