Iman Childs is a filmmaker and media critic with a passion for socially conscious media that connects cultures. She received a Fulbright research grant to research and film her documentary More Than Sbarchi: The African Diaspora in Italy, which tells the story of first- and second-generation African immigrants living in Italy. Her film In Plain Sight, inspired by the 2009 Richmond, CA rape case, was screened at three film festivals in New York City. Iman earned her BS in radio/television/film at Northwestern University, where she founded the Multicultural Filmmakers Collective. She lives in New York.
