Hong Xinyi is a Singapore-based freelance journalist whose areas of interest include urban development and design, built and intangible heritage, and emerging trends in arts and culture. She has worked in the print, broadcast, and digital arenas, and her work has been published by Monocle, the South China Morning Post, The Straits Times, Channel NewsAsia, Singapore Architect, Robb Report, The Peak, Tatler, and Poskod.sg. She collaborates frequently with cultural and civil society groups on arts projects and communications strategies, and has undertaken Chinese-to-English translation for clients like Esplanade—Theatres On The Bay, the Singapore Chinese Orchestra, and the arts journal Draft. She is a graduate of The Select Centre’s Translators’ Lab 2015.
