Hassan Khader is a Palestinian writer whose most recent publication is an autobiography, in Arabic, called Land of the Deer (2003). Other works include Identity of the Other and The Rise and Development of the Palestinian Elite. He was awarded the Palestinian Prize for Literature and Art in 1997.  He was the managing editor of the literary periodical Alkarmel.
