Gwen Davies is a literary editor and translator. Having worked for several publishers in Wales, she was appointed editor of New Welsh Review in 2011. Her translations include the novels Martha, Jack and Shanco (Caryl Lewis, Parthian, 2007) and The Jeweller (Caryl Lewis, Honno, forthcoming). She also co-translated, with the author, Robin Llywelyn, his novel White Star (Parthian, 2003). She is the editor of Sing Sorrow Sorrow, Dark and Chilling Tales (Seren, 2010), an anthology of spooky contemporary stories based on myth, folk, and fairytale by Welsh authors.
