Geoffey Strachan has translated works from French and German in a wide variety of fields, including stories and verse for children, seventeenth-century science fiction (Other Worlds by Cyrano de Bergerac), history, drama (The Big Comeback by Serge Kribus), letters, ethology, and modern fiction (novels by Yasmina Réza, Nathacha Appanah, and Jérôme Ferrari, plus all the novels of Andreï Makine). He has been awarded both the Scott Moncrieff Prize and the Schlegel-Treck Prize.
