Portrait of Estonian poet fs


fs (Indrek Mesikepp, b. 1971)  has published five books of poetry in Estonian. His 2004 received the Estonian Cultural Endowment’s Award for poetry. His books have been translated into Russian, Swedish, Bulgarian, Latvian, Finnish and Udmurt languages, and translations of his poems by Miriam McIlfatrick were included in the anthology New European Poets (2008). fs has composed, edited and illustrated books by other authors. He has worked as an editor at the literary monthly magazine Looming since 2000, and is also a rock DJ and father of three daughters.
