Freshta Ghani is an Afghan writer born in Kunar Province near the Afghan-Pakistani border. She has been writing since 2011. Her first short story was published while she was still at school. She is a member of the Association of Women Writers in Afghanistan. Freshta Ghani left Afghanistan about a year ago, when the Taliban threatened the media. She worked for Radio Azadi (RFE/RL) as a women’s affairs reporter. She is currently living with her husband in Tajikistan.
