Eyad Barghuthy

Eyad Barghuthy was born and raised in Nazareth, and currently resides in Haifa. He graduated with a BA from Tel Aviv University in sociology and political science. Barghuthy’s books include the novel Burdaqaneh (Orange) published in 2014, and two short story collections: Bayn Al-Buyuut (Among the Houses), which was awarded a young writer’s motivation award by the A. M.

Previously, he was the director of the Arab Culture Association. Currently, he is the Van Leer Jerusalem Institute’s deputy editor of the Maktoob series of translations from Arabic literature into Hebrew.
