Ewa Schilling was born in 1971 in Olsztyn, Poland and completed a Master's of Engineering in Environmental Protection at Akademia Rolniczo-Techniczna (ART). Her first book, Lustro [The Mirror] a collection of stories, was published in 1998 by Infopress, Kraków.
She has also written two novels, Akacja [Acacia, Borussia, 2001] and Głupiec [The Fool, Korporacja Ha!art, 2005]. Translations from her work have appeared in a German anthology, Sappho küßt Europa [Sappho Kisses Europe, Querverlag, 1997]; the German journal Die Horen; and the Slovenian journal Literatura. A new collection of her stories, titled Codzienność [Everyday Things], is forthcoming from Korporacja Ha!art.
