David B. is the Eisner Award-nominated artist behind Epileptic, an autobiographical story widely considered a masterpiece of the graphic novel medium. A founding member of the revolutionary French independent publisher L’Association, he is regarded as a giant among Bandes Dessinées artists.
His many prizes include the Prix de Cheverny (2007), the Ignatz Award for Outstanding Artist (2005), and the top prizes for Comics Writing (2002) and Best Comic Book (1998, 2004) at the Angoulême International Comics Festival. His Black Paths, the extraordinary story of the Dadaist poet Gabriele d’Annunzio, was published by SelfMadeHero in 2011.
