Çiler İlhan was born in 1972 and studied international relations and political science at Bosphorus University. Her stories, essays, book reviews, travel articles and translations into Turkish have been published in a variety of magazines, journals, and newspaper supplements. She received the 1993 Notable Short Story Award of the Yaşar Nabi Youth Awards.
