Carlos Henrique Schroeder is author of the short-story collection As certezas e as palavras (winner of the Brazilian National Library’s Prêmio Clarice Lispector) and of the novels As Fantasias Eletivas (adopted for college entrance exams at various universities) and História da Chuva, among others. His short stories have been translated into German, Spanish, and Icelandic. He lives in a small city in the south of Brazil.
