Berlin Fang was born in a mountainside village in Tongcheng, Anhui Province, and now works at Marshall University in West Virginia as an instructional designer. He is also an English-Chinese translator and interpreter. His works include translations of V.S.
Naipaul's Bend of the River, Peter Ackroyd's The Last Testament of Oscar Wilde, Annie Proulx's That Old Ace in the Hole, and Peter Conn's Pearl S. Buck: A Cultural Biography.
