Bejan Matur

Bejan Matur was born in 1968. She graduated from the Faculty of Law at Ankara University. She published her award-winning first poetry collection Ruzgâr Dolu Konaklar (Windswept Mansions) in 1996. Matur depicts the enchanting world of the East Anatolian migrants in lyrical, at times, heart-rending poems. Her second poetry collection Tanri Gormesin Harflerimi (God Must Not See My Letters) appeared in 1999.
