Antonio Ortuño is a Mexican writer, born in Guadalajara, in 1976. He is author of The Headhunter (Joaquin Mortiz, 2006) and Human Resources (finalist for the Herralde Prize, Anagram, 2007), as well as a book of stories, The Japanese Garden (Foam Pages, 2007). The newspaper Reforma chose his first novel as the 2006 Best Debut in Mexican Literature. Critics have praised Ortuno's black humor, the agility and precision of his prose, and his explorations of his characters' contradictions.
