Anna Lidia Vega Serova (Leningrad, 1968) has published 14 books, in many different genres, including the short-story collections Catálogo de mascotas, Imperio doméstico, and Legión de sombras miserables, the novels Noche de ronda and Anima fatua, the poetry collections Eslabones de un tiempo muerto and Retazos (de las hormigas) para los malos tiempos, and the children's book Adiós, triste cuento. Her work has won many prizes and awards, both in Cuba and abroad. She lives in Havana, Cuba.
