Angelo Cannavacciuolo, born in Naples in 1956, began as an actor and is a screenwriter for cinema, television, and theater. His novels include Guardiani delle nuvole (1999), a finalist for the Viareggio fiction and Berto Prizes: Il soffio delle fate (2002), a finalist for the Elsa Morante Prize, and Acque basse (2005).
