Andrea Bell combines her personal and professional interests by teaching and writing about Spanish-language science fiction at Hamline University in Saint Paul, Minnesota. She translated a number of stories for Cosmos Latinos: An Anthology of Science Fiction from Latin America and Spain, published in 2003 by Wesleyan University Press. Together with Yolanda Molina-Gavilán, she is finishing an English translation of a nineteenth-century Spanish novel that featured a time machine several years before H. G. Wells’s celebrated work.
