Anastas Petkov is a documentary photographer based in Bulgaria. His first series, The Cruelest Theater (2012), focused on the seaside town of Burgas and its main summer attraction—a beat-up concrete pier stretching out into the Black Sea. In 2016 he documented Christo and Jeanne-Claude’s latest project in northern Italy for the series Christening, part of which will appear in the forthcoming book The Floating Piers by Taschen.
