Amir Moosavi is currently working toward his PhD in the Department of Middle Eastern and Islamic Studies at New York University, where his research focuses on modern Arabic and Persian literatures. Although based in New York, since 2002 he has spent significant time working, traveling, and studying in the Middle East, mostly in Egypt, Iran, Syria and Lebanon.
