Alis Padasian is a self-published author with two novels to her name: Sinarut 1994 and a political spy fiction, Magnolia 1976, an exclusive collaboration with Byte Liber, a social self-publishing platform. The aim of her writing is to serve as a catalyst for works of fiction from her birth state of Sabah to achieve wider reception in Malaysia’s literary mainstream.
