Addie Leak

Addie Leak is a freelance editor and translator living in Amman, Jordan. A graduate of the University of Iowa’s literary translation MFA and a former Fulbright English Teaching Assistant at the University of Jordan, she is a co-translator of Mostafa Nissabouri’s For an Ineffable Metrics of the Desert (2018, Otis Books). Her translations from French, Arabic, and Spanish have also been featured in SOUFFLES-ANFAS: A Critical Anthology from the Moroccan Journal of Culture and Politics (2015, Stanford University Press), Exchanges, the Buenos Aires Review, the Huffington Post, and more. She was also a 2021 mentee in New Writing North’s Arabic Translation Mentoring Programme.
