Peter Terrin

Peter Terrin (b. 1968, Belgium) made his debut with the short-story collection De code (The Code, 1998) and has since published five novels. His 2009 novel De bewaker (The Guard, published by Maclehose Press, 2012, translated by David Colmer) won the European Union Prize for Literature, and for his latest novel Post mortem Terrin received the AKO Literature Prize. In his early novels he presented a closed, alienating world with characters who could be described as slightly paranoid. More recently he has struck out in various new directions. In Post Mortem he plays a game with the autobiographical genre and this spring Monte Carlo is in the pipeline, a novel about love and desire.
