Peter Mountford talks to NPR about discovering that his debut novel, A Young Man's Guide to Late Capitalism, was being illegally translated into Russian by a biologist, and his unusual response: trying to help.

Three Percent recently reviewed João Almino's The Book of Emotions, translated from Portuguese by Elizabeth Jackson. The novel takes place in the futuristic Brazilian city of Brasília circa 2022, and attempts “to follow the contours of memory.”
