Per Petterson’s It’s Fine By Me, translated from the Norwegian by WWB contributor Don Bartlett, was recently reviewed on Three Percent. Larissa Kyzer calls this early novel of Petterson's “a rather familiar, somewhat anticlimactic coming-of-age narrative where the ‘what’ matters far less than the ‘how,'” while praising his “sharp and empathetic” characterizations.
