Tal Goldfajn is Assistant Professor at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, where she co-coordinates the graduate area in Translation in the Hispanic and Lusophone World. She earned her PhD in General Linguistics from the University of Oxford. She is the author of Word Order and Time in Biblical Hebrew Narrative (Oxford University Press), among other books.
She has written on linguistics and translation, multilingualism, and theory of translation. She has also translated plays, poetry, and children’s books. Her English translations and translation reviews have appeared in Restless Books, The Common, Action Books, Saccades, and the Los Angeles Review of Books. She cohosts a speaker series called “Conversations on Translations.” She also collaborates with the Eric Carle Museum of Picture Book Art.
