Ranya Abdelrahman is a translator of Arabic literature into English. After working for more than sixteen years in the information technology industry, she changed careers to pursue her interest in books, promoting reading and translation. She is the translator of the Palestine Book Award–shortlisted Out of Time, a short story collection by Samira Azzam, and her co-translation, with Sawad Hussain, of Bothayna Al-Essa’s The Book Censor’s Library was a finalist for the National Book Awards.
