Ezzahra Benlahoussine is an Amazigh researcher and translator from Morocco with a strong background in cultural studies, focusing on indigenous voices and cross-cultural encounters. She holds a BA in English literature and an MA in cultural studies and is currently a final-year PhD researcher in cultural studies and comparative literature at Mohammed V University in Rabat, Morocco.
In 2021, she was a visiting PhD researcher at the VUB Doctoral School of Human Sciences in Brussels. Her research interests span cultural and postcolonial studies, comparative literature, city-writings, migration studies, subaltern studies, and Tamazgha Studies. Her current translation project, which brings Amazigh poetry into English, reflects her dedication to preserving and sharing indigenous literature.
