Angela Dimitrakaki is a fiction writer and lecturer in contemporary art at The University of Edinburgh, UK.
Her fiction largely addresses the transformation of subjectivity in contemporary global landscapes, and she has published the novels Antarktiki (1997, revised edition 2006), Antisea (2002), The Manifesto of Defeat (2006), and Inside A Girl like You (2009), as well as the collection of short stories Nosebleed (1999) in her native language, Greek. Her literary work has been shortlisted for many prizes in Greece, where she is also a frequent contributor to the national press. Her novella Four Testimonies about the Exhumation of the River Errinyos has appeared in contemporary Greek fiction anthologies in France and Germany. She is currently represented by Hestia Publishers, Athens.
