Zanele Montle was born and raised in a small town in Empangeni. She received her national diploma from the University of Johannesburg and completed her undergraduate degree at the Tshwane University of Technology. She has taken part in several group shows, most recently at the Art It Is gallery in Johannesburg. She holds a postgraduate qualification in art education and currently works as an art educator and a painter.
