Việt Lê is an artist, writer, and curator.
Lê is an assistant professor in visual studies at California College of the Arts. Their art and research has been featured at the Banff Centre, Alberta, Canada; the UCLA Hammer Museum, Los Angeles, USA; Bangkok Art & Cultural Center (BACC), Thailand; Civitella Ranieri, Italy; Shanghai Biennale, China; and the Rio Gay Film Festival, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, among other venues. Recent publications include White Gaze, an art book (poetry, images, performance), in collaboration with Michelle Dizon and Faith Wilding (Sming Sming Books & Objects + Candor Arts), as well as Myriad Modernities, a special double issue of Visual Anthropology coedited with Lan Duong (Routledge).
