Rafael Lemus was born in Mexico City in 1977. Narrator, essayist and literary critic, he is the author of the short story collection Informe (Tusquets, 2008, short stories) and the essay collection Contra la vida activa (Tumbona, 2009, essay). He was the founder and literary editor of Cuaderno Salmón and the assistant editor of Letras Libres. He lives in New York.
