Paul Wamo was born on the island of Lifou (Kanaky-New Caledonia) in 1981. Initially establishing himself as a slam poet, he currently performs texts which combine poetry, music, and social observation. Some of his work is available on his 2008 CD, J’aime les mots, or on YouTube. He has also published short stories in Nouvelles de Nouvelle-Calédonie (Magellan, 2017) and elsewhere.
