Maha Alautoom is a Jordanian poet, academic, and translator from the village of Souf in the Jerash Governorate. She obtained her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Arabic at Yarmouk University and her doctorate in contemporary literature and criticism from the University of Jordan, where she is now a professor.
She is the co-translator of Sigrid Undset’s Marta Oulie and Jenny from their English translations into Arabic and the author of six collections of poetry with another forthcoming, as well as a book of criticism about the work of Amjad Nasser. Her poetry has been translated into French, Swedish, and English.
