Luisa Leme is a multimedia journalist and filmmaker from Brazil. She has worked for TV Cultura and TV Globo in São Paulo and for the United Nations and other nonprofit organizations in New York, where she lives. She has directed documentaries about night-shift workers, U.S. historical sites such as the Scott Joplin House in St.
Louis, Missouri, and people with disabilities in New York City. Leme is also New York correspondent for Brazilian and international radio stations. She writes the weekly column "Letters from New York" for the Rio-based newspaper O Globo. At Words without Borders, she directed a series of short videos featuring WWB's authors for the organization's WWB Campus program.
